Queens intersection renamed Spider-Man Way
An intersection in the Queens borough of New York City has been officially renamed Spider-Man Way. The new designation honors the iconic Marvel superhero, Peter Parker.
Unveiled on October 12, 2026, the renaming applies to the intersection of Ingram Street and Ascan Avenue in Forest Hills. The location was chosen because 1989 comic book issues established the character's fictional home address as 20 Ingram Street.
The ceremony was attended by fans, elected officials, and Marvel Comics representatives. Council Member Lynn Schulman presented the proposal, noting the character's deep connection to the Queens community. Attendees included Marvel executive editor Nick Lowe and Mark Ditko, nephew of Spider-Man co-creator Steve Ditko.
