Queens of the Stone Age announce ninth album ‘Perfecth’
Queens of the Stone Age have announced their ninth studio album, titled ‘Perfecth’, scheduled for release on October 30 via Matador Records. The album was co-produced by frontman Josh Homme and bassist Michael Shuman.
Alongside the announcement, the band released the new single ‘Insignificant Other’. Homme described the track as a song about distance and the vertigo felt when someone who was your entire world suddenly vanishes. The album’s title, ‘Perfecth’, is a term coined by Homme to suggest that while nothing is truly perfect, everything appears to be ‘perfecth’.
The nine-track album explores various themes of love, lust, and wisdom. It will be available in several formats, including CD, standard and clear vinyl, and a limited deluxe edition featuring handwritten lyrics and bespoke art.
In terms of live performances, the band is set to resume their North American stadium tour supporting Foo Fighters on September 15. Upcoming tour dates also include stops in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Singapore this fall.
