Queens Park Rangers defeat Cardiff City 2-1
Queens Park Rangers secured a 2-1 victory over Cardiff City at Loftus Road to maintain their strong start to the Championship season. Rumarn Burrell scored both goals for QPR, netting the opener in the first half following a corner and doubling the lead early in the second half after a through-ball from Ronnie Edwards.
Cardiff City's Perry Ng scored a late goal to reduce the deficit, but the Bluebirds were unable to find an equalizer. The loss leaves Cardiff City searching for their first win of the season after three consecutive draws. Cardiff manager Brian Barry-Murphy stated that despite the disappointment, the players retain belief and are improving technically.
With this win, QPR moves to second place in the Championship table, accumulating 10 points from their opening four matches.
