Queensland announces new community and heritage grant programs
The Bundaberg Regional Council has renewed the ‘Our Stories Our Places Heritage and Character Grants’ program for the 2026-27 budget. With $50,000 allocated, the program provides up to $10,000 per project to assist owners of heritage-listed and commercial character properties with conservation works, such as repainting or replacing signage to better suit historic streetscapes in Bundaberg and Childers.
Separately, the Queensland Government has opened applications for its $2 million Strengthening Communities Multicultural Grants. This funding pool offers individual grants of up to $100,000 for locally-led projects designed to enhance inclusivity, connectivity, and economic participation for culturally diverse populations and youth across the state.
