Multiple long-serving professionals and community leaders in Queensland were honored for their decades of service during recent ceremonies in Cairns.

At the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) Annual Conference, 98 councillors were recognized for completing at least three local government terms. Individual service spans from 10 to 45 years. Notable recipients include Paul Tully of Ipswich City Council, who has served over 45 years, John Wharton of Richmond Shire Council, and Robyn Fuhrmeister of Balonne Shire Council.

Additionally, the Queensland Law Society President’s Dinner recognized three Cairns-based legal practitioners for reaching 25 years of service. The honorees included Trevor Hauff, John Hayward of WGC Lawyers, and Luckbir Singh of MacDonnells Law.
