Queensland First Nations netball team enters national tournament

The Queensland Under 23 First Nations netball team is preparing to compete in the Netball Australia First Nations Tournament held at the State Netball Centre in Parkville, Victoria. Following a gold medal win in the inaugural 2024 edition and a silver in 2025, the team aims to build on its established competitive standard.

Head Coach Sharon Finnan-White, a former Australian Diamond, stated that the focus for the current 12-player squad is on building a strong collective identity and honoring the legacy of previous players while representing their diverse Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and communities.
