Queensland football enters critical finals series

The Queensland Australian Rules football landscape enters a critical finals phase with several preliminary and grand final matchups scheduled. In the QFA Division 1 Hart Sport Cup, the University of Queensland is set to host Springwood in a preliminary final. The winner of this contest will advance to face Mayne in the Grand Final.

In QFA Division 2 South, Bond University will face Coolangatta in a preliminary final to determine who will play for the championship next week. Meanwhile, in Division 3 Brisbane South, Redland-Victoria Point and the Ipswich Eagles are competing for a spot in the Grand Final against Sherwood.

In the QAFLW, Bond University’s Bull Sharks are preparing for the grand final against Southport. Despite being considered underdogs due to a recent period of significant roster turnover, coach Andy Lovell expressed confidence in his young squad following their preliminary final victory over Coorparoo.
