Queensland Reds announce four-match international rugby tour

The Queensland Reds have announced a four-match international tour scheduled for November as part of their preparations for the 2027 Super Rugby Pacific season. The tour will begin in Japan with two matches against the Saitama Panasonic Wild Knights on November 7 and November 14 at Ota City Sports Park and Kumagaya Stadium.

The team will then travel to Europe to face Italy XV on November 20 and Benetton Rugby on November 27, both matches taking place at Stadio Monigo in Treviso. Coach Vern Cotter noted that the tour is a vital opportunity to familiarize himself with the squad and improve the team's physicality.

This international schedule coincides with broader strategic ambitions for the Queensland Rugby Union. Executives have expressed confidence in the stabilizing relationship between Rugby Australia and New Zealand Rugby, aiming to build the organization back into a powerhouse through a five-year vision focused on growth and consistency.
