Queensland teen gang faces charges for dozens of vehicle and property crimes
Queensland detectives charged a group of five teenagers with more than 50 offences, including vehicle theft and property crimes, after a series of break‑ins and car thefts across the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast in early July. The 17‑year‑old from Victoria Point was charged with 24 counts, including eight unlawful uses of a motor vehicle and multiple thefts, while two younger suspects each faced a charge of unlawful vehicle use and drug possession. Earlier arrests involved a 16‑year‑old from Park Ridge who faced 25 offences and a 15‑year‑old from Redland Bay charged with two offences. One incident left a man in his 60s with non‑life‑threatening injuries after a collision involving a stolen BYD Seal and a Hyundai i30. All suspects are due to appear in Cleveland Children’s Court in July.
