Quentin Grimes signs $60 million deal with Los Angeles Lakers

Quentin Grimes has signed a four-year, $60 million contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, citing coach JJ Redick as a primary factor in his decision. Grimes noted that the Philadelphia 76ers made little effort to re-sign him, as their previous proposals—including a four-year, $39 million deal and a one-year offer—did not meet his representatives' terms.

During preseason play, Grimes has demonstrated strong scoring and defensive commitment, earning praise from Redick. The guard is expected to play a significant role alongside Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves. Jaden Hardy also noted that Doncic has taken on increased leadership responsibilities following the departure of LeBron James, helping to unify the team.
