Quentin Mosimann named new director of Star Academy

Quentin Mosimann has been officially named the new director of the Star Academy, succeeding Michael Goldman. The announcement was made on the television program Quotidien on TMC.

Mosimann, a Franco-Swiss DJ and producer, previously won the seventh season of the competition in 2008. He will oversee the 14th season of the program, which is scheduled to begin on October 10, 2026, on TF1. During his appearance, Mosimann stated that he felt it was the right time to ‘close the loop,’ noting that he arrived at the academy with dreams and left with a profession.

His appointment follows the departure of Michael Goldman, who had directed the program for four seasons since its return to TF1 in 2022. The upcoming season will continue to be hosted by Nikos Aliagas.
