Quentin Tarantino discusses cancelled prequel and Robert De Niro

Director Quentin Tarantino has shared insights regarding his past creative projects and his professional admiration for Robert De Niro.

Tarantino revealed that he previously planned a prequel titled ‘Double V Vega’ to explore the connection between the characters played by John Travolta and Michael Madsen. The film would have focused on the period when Vincent Vega was managing a club in Amsterdam and was visited by his brother, Vic Vega. However, the project was never realized.

Additionally, Tarantino expressed high praise for Robert De Niro, labeling him the ‘best actor in the world.’ This sentiment stems from their collaboration on the film ‘Jackie Brown’ (1997), where De Niro played the character Louis Gara. Tarantino noted that observing De Niro’s performance frame by frame led him to conclude that the actor fully inhabits his roles in every moment.
