Quequén police intercept vehicle following reckless driving reports
Four individuals from the City of Buenos Aires were involved in a two-hour standoff in Quequén after being intercepted by municipal traffic inspectors. The incident occurred on Avenue 502 following several days of reports from local residents regarding dangerous driving maneuvers, including street racing and reckless acceleration.
The occupants of a Ford Raptor—three men and one woman—refused to cooperate with authorities, with one individual identifying himself as a lawyer and challenging the validity of the procedure. The situation required the intervention of the Necochea Departmental Headquarters and the local prosecutor's office.
Security forces eventually compelled the occupants to exit the vehicle. The truck was seized after authorities confirmed several serious infractions, including the lack of a valid driver's license and the performance of dangerous maneuvers. The group had reportedly traveled to the area to participate in a provincial padel tournament in Necochea.
