Querétaro 9-1-1 emergency center handles 16,000 calls in one week

The Emergency Attention Center (CAE) 911 of the Querétaro Municipal Public Security Secretariat (SSPMQ) handled more than 16,000 citizen reports between August 31 and September 6.

Key reasons for these calls included traffic accidents without injuries, sightings of suspicious individuals, and aggressive persons in public spaces. These reports were distributed across the seven delegations of the Querétaro municipality. Additionally, citizen assistance buttons recorded 241 activations during the same period, addressing risks such as missing persons and public order disturbances.

Emergency personnel also provided specialized telephone assistance and guidance for five cases requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers, helping bystanders act until medical help arrived.
