Querétaro allocates 2.6 million pesos to 38 certified addiction‑treatment centers

Luis Nava, the Secretary of Social Development for the state of Querétaro, led the delivery of financial support to 38 residential centers that have received certification from the National Council for Mental Health and Addictions (CONASAMA). The aid is part of the 2026 Donation Program for Specialized Residential Treatment Centers, funded by the State Council Against Addictions (CECA) with a total investment of 2.6 million pesos. The resources will be used to improve infrastructure, security and equipment, aiming to raise the quality of care, professionalize staff and protect the human rights of users. Nava emphasized that helping a person overcome addiction “recovers a life and rebuilds a family.”
