Querétaro athletes excel at the 2026 National Paralympics
The Querétaro delegation achieved significant success during the 2026 National Paralympics (Paralimpiada Nacional CONADE 2026) held in Jalisco, Mexico. In para-swimming, the delegation collected a total of 130 medals, including 62 gold, 37 silver, and 31 bronze. This performance exceeded the state's initial projection of 49 gold medals and secured Querétaro third place overall in the discipline, alongside Jalisco and Nuevo León.
In goalball, Querétaro secured three out of the four available gold medals. The state won the junior female category against Oaxaca, the junior male category against Jalisco, and the senior male category against the local Jalisco team. Other disciplines, such as wheelchair basketball and para-cycling, also featured in the multi-day competition involving approximately 2,900 athletes from across the country.
