Querétaro attracts Indian investment and records high business growth

The state of Querétaro, Mexico, is experiencing significant economic activity, characterized by both international interest and robust local growth. A prominent business delegation from India recently visited the state to explore industrial partnerships and bilateral investments. Discussions focused on potential joint ventures in sectors including information technology, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, pharmaceutical supply chains, aerospace, and automotive industries.

Locally, the municipality of Querétaro reported strong commercial vitality in the first half of 2026. According to the Secretariat of Sustainable Development, the region registered 2,156 new business openings. This resulted in a net gain of 1,390 new businesses, even after accounting for 766 closures. Data indicates a 63% decrease in business closures compared to previous cycles, signaling improved commercial resilience and consumer confidence across various sectors such as retail and specialized services.
