Mexican prosecutors secure sentences and arrests in violent robbery cases
A court in Tijuana sentenced Jesús Uriel "N" to three years and eight months in prison for a violent robbery at an OXXO store on 9 December 2025, where he brandished a firearm and demanded cash before being subdued by municipal police.
In Querétaro, the state prosecutor linked Alberto "N" to a May 3 2026 robbery of a commercial establishment in the Colonia Satélite, ordering his preventive detention after video evidence identified him breaking a storefront window and stealing merchandise.
Separately, seven suspects—including an active federal police officer—were tied to kidnapping and robbery crimes in the municipality of Colón, Querétaro. Their arrests on 22 June were part of the “Sinergia” coordination strategy involving authorities from Querétaro, Estado de México, Ciudad de México and the Federal Attorney General's Office.
Authorities also captured Omar Orlando "N", a man wanted in Chiapas for a violent robbery, after a joint operation between Chiapas and Querétaro police executed an arrest warrant on 3 June in Querétaro’s Centro Sur district.
