Querétaro authorities monitor river risks and rainfall

Authorities in Querétaro are conducting preventive measures to manage risks associated with the current rainy season. Conagua, alongside state and municipal officials, performed a survey of the Querétaro River in the El Marqués municipality. The inspection spanned from the El Carmen dam to the La Cañada historic bridge to identify areas vulnerable to increased runoff and protect local property.

In the capital city, municipal Civil Protection reported that recent continuous rainfall has not caused damage to homes or roads, though some water accumulation occurred on the Highway 57 lateral. Public service teams were deployed to pump water from affected areas. While light to moderate rain is expected to continue through Friday evening, forecasts suggest a decrease in precipitation over the weekend.
