Querétaro authorities seize large quantities of drugs in Juriquilla raid

Authorities in Querétaro seized more than 40 kilograms of methamphetamine and nearly 9 kilograms of marijuana during a search of a property in the Juriquilla neighborhood. The operation, conducted on August 28, 2026, was part of an investigation into health crimes following reports of narcotics sales at the location.

In addition to the drugs, officials seized 140 marijuana plants, a long firearm, several mobile phones, and documentation related to the investigation. A vehicle and the property itself were also secured.

The raid was a coordinated effort under the ‘Sinergia por Querétaro’ initiative, involving the State Attorney General's Office, State and Municipal Police, the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA), and the National Guard. Investigations are ongoing to identify and prosecute those responsible.
