Querétaro begins preparations for Mexico-Querétaro Train works

The Querétaro Government has announced that construction for the Mexico-Querétaro Train project will soon begin on Calle Invierno, located in the Historic Center zone. Eric Gudiño, Secretary of Government, clarified that while work on Calle Invierno is imminent, the construction date for the “La Corregidora” station has not yet been determined and remains subject to coordination with federal authorities in Mexico City.

Currently, 28 complementary works related to the railway project have been approved across the state. Two additional interventions, one in San Juan del Río and another in El Marqués, are currently under evaluation. State authorities are working to obtain detailed project specifications and ensure all municipal and state permits are in place. While some land release and permitting processes are still pending, federal authorities are continuing to work on the right-of-way as planning progresses.
