Querétaro budget growth capped at 3.8% for 2027

The state of Querétaro has announced that its 2027 budget will face a maximum growth limit of 3.8% compared to the current year. Finance Secretary Gustavo Leal Maya explained that this ceiling is a direct result of federal economic package constraints, which set a 3% limit on participations and a 4.9% limit on contributions.

As the state begins integrating its economic package for presentation by November 30, officials have noted that reductions in federal resources represent a significant challenge for the upcoming fiscal year. The 3.8% figure serves as a maximum threshold rather than a target, limiting the state's ability to increase spending without adjusting local taxes or cutting existing programs.
