Querétaro Diocese Pilgrimage to Tepeyac Advances Toward Mexico City
Around 32,000 pilgrims from the Diocese of Querétaro are moving toward the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City. The female column of more than 17,000 walkers is heading to San Juan del Río, while the male column of over 15,000 is approaching Pedro Escobedo. Both groups are near the border with the State of México and are expected to complete their passage through Querétaro soon.
The inter‑agency operation, coordinated by the State Civil Protection agency, reported no major incidents. Medical teams provided 2,207 minor‑care consultations for dehydration, sprains and skin irritation, and distributed oral rehydration salts, colloidal silver for water disinfection and hand‑gel. Health promotion sessions reached 9,181 people, and basic‑sanitation supplies such as lime and portable toilets were deployed to improve conditions along the route.
