Querétaro draws 50+ automotive suppliers while construction sector surges

More than 50 automotive‑component companies are evaluating investment in Querétaro, the Mexican state’s development secretary Marco Antonio Del Prete said. He cited a recent trade‑mission to the United Kingdom that highlighted opportunities under the US‑Mexico‑Canada trade agreement, especially for aerospace suppliers such as Safran, Leonardo, Bombardier and Aernnova, and noted that the aerospace sector is less constrained by the treaty negotiations.

Separately, the state’s construction industry posted a 41.5 % year‑on‑year rise in the real value of production for May 2026, according to INEGI data. The production index reached 137.6 points—well above the national average of 84.5—and placed Querétaro among the top five states for growth. Employment grew 5.1 % and hours worked rose 1 %, outpacing national trends.
