Querétaro educators demand transparency in USICAMM promotion process
Approximately 150 teachers in Querétaro have expressed concerns regarding the promotion and assignment process for director positions and new teaching posts. The issues stem from complications with the USICAMM platform, a federal agency under the Secretaría de Educación Pública (SEP).
Irene Quintanar Mejía, coordinator of the Unidad de Servicios para la Educación Básica del Estado de Querétaro (Usebeq), clarified that while Usebeq collaborates in document reception, the USICAMM platform and the evaluation process are managed exclusively by the federal government. Usebeq has contacted federal authorities to address the technical difficulties and is providing support to teachers to ensure a transparent evaluation.
Additionally, Usebeq announced that payments for severance to teachers who covered interim positions during the previous school year will begin on Friday, August 14. The agency stated it is prepared to listen to and accompany teachers should they hold demonstrations regarding these administrative matters.
