Querétaro Experimental Festival attracts over 20,000 attendees

The INVERSA 2026 edition of the Querétaro Experimental Festival drew more than 20,000 attendees to Plaza Fundadores from October 1 to 4. The event coincided with the 30th anniversary of the Querétaro Historic Center being declared a World Heritage Site.

The festival featured 68 local, national, and international artists and collectives presenting 24 multidisciplinary proposals. The programming integrated contemporary creation with technology, highlighted by an immersive dome offering audiovisual projections and experiences such as ‘Mente Expandida’, ‘Espacios Artificiales’, and ‘Rituales de lo Invisible’.

Musical performances and live shows were also central to the event, featuring artists such as Medusa, SQNX, Lechedevirgen, Roja Ibarra, and various DJs including Tom & Collins. Daniela Salgado Márquez, the Municipal Secretary of Culture for Querétaro, noted that the high turnout reflects public interest in free access to innovative art and the use of public spaces for cultural encounters.
