Querétaro Governor celebrates 15th anniversary of AFEQ

The Association of Tax Professionals of the State of Querétaro (AFEQ) celebrated its 15th anniversary at the BLOQUE Innovation and Technology Center. The event was led by Governor Mauricio Kuri González, who recognized the members for their commitment to professional updates, ethics, and social responsibility.

During the ceremony, Carlos Mario Mejía Cruz was awarded the Tax Professional of the Year 2026 prize. Additionally, recognition was granted to ten founding counselors of the association. Jaime Echavarría Melgarejo, president of AFEQ, stated that the organization is prepared to address challenges posed by artificial intelligence, globalization, and continuous fiscal reforms to ensure legal certainty and a transparent fiscal framework for the state.
