Querétaro health authorities strengthen municipal coordination

Health officials in Querétaro are enhancing collaboration between state and municipal governments to improve public health outcomes. During a recent session of the Querétaro Network of Municipalities for Health in El Marqués, State Secretary of Health María Martina Pérez Rendón and municipal coordinator Rodrigo Monsalvo Castelán discussed strategies to address regional health challenges.

Key focus areas for this coordination include mental health promotion, dengue prevention and control, and the encouragement of physical activity. The initiative also involves the certification of 'Health Promoting Municipalities' and the development of 'Age-Friendly Cities' for older adults.

This collaborative effort complements the ongoing work of healthcare personnel across the state, who provide essential services ranging from preventive care in mobile units and health centers to specialized hospital treatments. The state emphasizes that municipal participation is vital for implementing disease prevention and promoting healthy lifestyles directly within local communities.
