Querétaro hosts arbitration week to promote dispute resolution

The Semana del Arbitraje Querétaro 2026 was inaugurated by the Querétaro State Judiciary and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) Mexico. The event brings together judges, lawyers, and business representatives to analyze alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and promote Querétaro as a potential hub for international arbitration.

During the event, representatives from the Quintana Roo Judiciary shared their experience in implementing specialized infrastructure, including the state’s first Arbitration Center dependent on a Judiciary and a specialized commercial court. Experts emphasized that moving from a litigation-centered culture to one focused on mediation and agreement can reduce costs, speed up legal solutions, and minimize emotional and professional strain in commercial disputes.
