Querétaro incorporates 41 new state and municipal police officers

Forty-one new community police officers have joined the State Police of Querétaro and various municipal corporations following the completion of a 1,230-hour Initial Training Course for Community Policing. This group, identified as the Second Generation 2026, will serve in the state police and across 11 municipalities, including Amealco, Arroyo Seco, Cadereyta de Montes, Colón, Corregidora, El Marqués, Pedro Escobedo, Peñamiller, San Juan del Río, Tequisquiapan, and Tolimán.

During the appointment ceremony, Governor Mauricio Kuri González emphasized that police work requires both firmness in upholding the law and respect for citizens. Secretary of Citizen Security Iován Elías Pérez Hernández noted that the joint training model aims to ensure different institutions share standardized procedures and capabilities. He reported that more than 800 new officers have been incorporated into state and municipal forces during the current administration.
