Querétaro labor officials promote female self-employment in Colón

The Querétaro Secretary of Labor, Liliana San Martín Castillo, visited the municipality of Colón to conclude vocational training courses aimed at promoting self-employment among women. The programs included piñata making in the La Esperanza community and hairstyling in San Ildefonso.

San Martín Castillo emphasized the importance of bringing training opportunities directly to local communities to allow women to generate income near their families. The 'Capacitación para el Autoempleo' (Training for Self-Employment) initiative is part of the State Employment Program. The department has set a goal to train 1,500 women across all 18 municipalities in Querétaro this year, tailoring courses to the specific needs and characteristics of each locality.
