Querétaro launches new youth political and institutional initiatives

Various youth-focused political and institutional initiatives have been launched in Querétaro, Mexico.

The political party Movimiento Ciudadano introduced its ‘Jóvenes Al Mando’ project during a meeting with 50 young people at the Club de Industriales de Querétaro. Led by Armando Rivera Castillejos and Majo Cazárez Pérez, the initiative aims to provide civic training and strengthen political participation by integrating youth perspectives into the party’s political strategy.

Simultaneously, the Municipality of Querétaro, through the Municipal Institute of Youth, formalized the swearing-in of the new ‘Consejo Universitario Juvenil’. Comprising over 30 student representatives from various higher education institutions, the council will serve as a communication channel between youth and local authorities. Mauricio Parra, head of the Institute of Youth, stated the council will hold weekly meetings to debate public initiatives and coordinate community activities to improve local quality of life.
