Querétaro Municipality launches Explora Querétaro environmental program

The Municipality of Querétaro, through its Secretariat of the Environment, has launched the ‘Explora Querétaro’ initiative. The program aims to promote the conservation of protected natural areas by inviting residents to experience the capital's environmental richness through guided tours.

Upcoming activities include a tour of ‘El Tlacuache’ in the Cañada Bolaños Protected Natural Area on September 5, and an experience at the Cerro de las Campanas National Park on September 12. Other featured locations include La Joya La Barreta.

Since its inception, the program has conducted six excursions with over 460 participants. The initiative focuses on increasing awareness regarding biodiversity and the importance of preserving natural spaces for recreation and environmental benefits.
