Querétaro advances energy, transport, and metropolitan housing infrastructure

Querétaro is seeing significant infrastructure and policy developments across the energy, transport, and housing sectors. RLX has inaugurated a new electrical substation in Corregidora with a nearly US$100 million investment. The facility features a 400-kilovolt transmission line and a capacity exceeding 1,000 MVA, designed to support the state's growing demand from data centers, robotics, and AI industries.

In transportation, the Mexico-Querétaro passenger train project has reached 19% construction progress, with 98% of the right-of-way cleared. The project, which involves a 144 billion peso investment, is expected to be completed by November 2027 and will serve approximately 30,000 daily passengers across 22 municipalities.

Regarding urban development, municipal leaders from Querétaro, Corregidora, Huimilpan, and El Marqués are working to harmonize housing and urban planning processes. This metropolitan strategy aims to coordinate mobility, security, and infrastructure to maintain regional competitiveness. Additionally, the state's judicial system is hosting the 3rd National Assembly of the Confederation of National Superior Courts (CONATRIB) in Querétaro to discuss judicial reforms and the implementation of artificial intelligence in legal processes.
