Querétaro partners with ICATEQ and Hero Maquinaria for industrial training

The Institute for Work Training of the State of Querétaro (ICATEQ) and Hero Maquinaria Bozwang de México have signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen talent training and certification in high-technology industrial sectors.

Under this agreement, the company’s showroom will serve as a training and certification center to prepare workers for specific industrial needs. Marco Antonio Del Prete Tercero, head of the Secretariat of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), stated that the initiative follows the ‘triple helix’ model, which coordinates efforts between government, academia, and private companies. This model allows businesses to define required competencies while educational institutions develop the necessary training programs.

Del Prete Tercero emphasized that while Querétaro possesses infrastructure, technology, and industrial parks, the state's competitiveness relies heavily on its people. The state administration is working alongside the Secretariat of Education to ensure talent development keeps pace with rapid industrial changes in areas such as advanced manufacturing, CNC machine tools, electromechanics, welding, and information technology.
