Querétaro reports 138 billion pesos in investment projects

In Querétaro, the Secretary of Sustainable Development (SEDESU), Marco Antonio del Prete Tercero, reported that the current administration has secured 233 national and foreign investment projects. These projects represent approximately 138 billion pesos and have the potential to generate 63,035 formal jobs. Approximately 60 percent of these promised jobs are already registered with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS).

Del Prete noted that between October 2021 and July 2026, the state generated 86,001 formal jobs, ranking sixth nationally in job creation during that period. He also highlighted that Querétaro holds the fourth highest average daily wage in Mexico at 731 pesos.

Separately, the Morena legislative group in the Querétaro State Congress has requested a review of budget allocations during the government report review process. They are seeking accountability regarding 465 million pesos allocated for flood infrastructure in the Sierra Gorda and Semidesierto regions, as well as 30 million pesos designated for persons with disabilities. Legislators emphasized that the review should serve as a constitutional check on the executive branch to ensure funds reached their intended recipients.
