Querétaro showcases local culture with artisan bazaar and traveling photography exhibit

The State Secretariat of Culture (SECULT) organized the 23rd edition of the Bazar Artesanal Ar Tai on Saturday 8 August 2026 at the Centro de las Artes de Querétaro (CEART). About a hundred artisans and small producers from all 18 municipalities of the state participated, offering handmade crafts, traditional food, workshops and artistic performances. The free event ran from 10:00 to 19:00 and aimed to support local creators while preserving the region’s cultural heritage.

The municipal government also staged an itinerant photography exhibition from 4 June to 26 July 2026, bringing a selection of 11 photographs to eight municipal markets and tianguis across Querétaro, including El Tepetate, Escobedo, Lázaro Cárdenas, Morelos, La Cruz, Las Flores, Hidalgo and Lomas de Casa Blanca. More than 950 visitors attended, viewing images that highlighted city landmarks and promoting emerging local photographers.
