Querétaro social development agency trains school transport staff

The Querétaro State Secretariat of Social Development (SEDESOQ) conducted two training sessions for personnel within its school transport program. The training focused on medical emergency response and awareness regarding autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Led by Secretary Ernesto Mejía Botello, approximately 70 collaborators participated in the sessions. Specialists from the State Health Secretariat’s Medical Urgency Regulatory Center (CRUM) provided workshops on first aid, prehospital care, and medical coordination. Additionally, members of the association Entre Hermanas y Batallas A.C. delivered a conference to promote empathy and understanding of the challenges faced by families living with autism.

The school transport program currently serves 10,872 people across 18 municipalities using 145 units that cover 1,789 routes for 340 schools.
