Querétaro State Launches Digital Investment Portal to Accelerate Business Setup

The government of Querétaro announced the Diagnostic and Implementation Plan for a Digital Investment Window, a platform aimed at simplifying and speeding up the process of establishing a company in the state. Governor Mauricio Kuri González pledged that, within four months, investors should be able to complete all necessary procedures through the single digital portal, reducing administrative burdens and improving governance.

The initiative is part of a broader regulatory improvement effort that has already digitised about 68 % of state procedures, with a target of 80 % by the end of the year and full digitalisation by next year. It is being developed in coordination with the State Commission for Regulatory Improvement and the Organisation for Economic Co‑operation and Development (OECD). The project also includes “Cerebro Querétaro,” an intelligence system intended to integrate information across agencies and support data‑driven decision‑making.

Officials highlighted that faster, clearer processes are expected to attract more investment, create jobs and enhance the state’s competitiveness in the 21st‑century economy.
