Querétaro State Philharmonic Orchestra launches 2026 concert season

The Secretariat of Culture of Querétaro, led by Ana Paola López Birlain, announced that the Orquesta Filarmónica del Estado de Querétaro (OFEQ) will hold its third concert season from 27 August to 17 December 2026. The program features adaptations of rock and pop hits under the theme “Nostalgia,” a Broadway classics concert, a symphonic tribute to Juan Gabriel, a performance of “Swan Lake” with the Ukrainian Ballet, and a traditional holiday concert.

López Birlain introduced José Antonio McGregor as the new coordinator for OFEQ’s management and outreach, a role that will operate through a collaboration between the Secretariat, the Autonomous University of Querétaro and the orchestra itself. Director Mark Kadin highlighted that the previous season attracted 7,800 attendees across 12 concerts, underscoring growing public interest in the symphonic offering.
