Querétaro to host Beethoven music festival
The Querétaro State Secretariat of Culture has announced the festival “Beethoven siempre vivo, hacia el bicentenario 1827 – 2027,” scheduled to take place from November 4 to 18. The event serves as a prelude to the 200th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven’s death in March 2027.
The festival will feature five concerts held at the Museo Regional de Querétaro, the Club de Industriales, and the Teatro de la Ciudad. Performances include works such as the Piano Concerto No. 1 by Rachid Bernal, a four-hand piano transcription of Symphony No. 7 by Fausto Castelo and Asael Juárez, and the “Moonlight Sonata” by Guadalupe Parrondo.
Artistic participation includes the Camerata de Santiago under the direction of Jesús Almanza. Arturo Mora Campos, director of Diffusion and Cultural Heritage for the state, noted that the initiative aims to use music as a tool for peace and to connect younger generations with art.
