Querétaro universities sign agreements for technological innovation

Universities in Querétaro, Mexico, are establishing new agreements to foster research, technology, and innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (UAQ) has signed an agreement between its Faculties of Arts and Engineering to create UMBRAL, a Center for Research in Art, Technology, and Innovation. This center aims to develop interdisciplinary projects, human resource training, and knowledge transfer. The initiative seeks to address social, cultural, educational, and environmental challenges by using technology as a tool for mediation and art as a form of knowledge.

Separately, the Universidad Tecnológica de Querétaro (UTEQ) and Universidad Anáhuac Querétaro have entered into a collaboration agreement focused on scientific and technological research. The partnership aims to drive Research, Development, and Innovation (R+D+i) projects and facilitate knowledge transfer. By utilizing shared laboratories and academic spaces, the institutions intend to develop technological solutions tailored to the needs of Querétaro’s industrial sectors, following a Triple Helix model that connects academia, government, and the productive sector.
