Quetzaltenango authorities report incidents during Xelafer

The Risk Management Office of the Municipality of Quetzaltenango reported several incidents handled during the Xelafer festivities. Due to high visitor numbers, authorities responded to the loss of four minors, who were safely reunited with their families through coordinated efforts between security forces and rescue teams.

Other incidents included a two-vehicle collision near the CEFEMER premises, which resulted only in material damage, and medical assistance provided for alcohol consumption. In one instance, a woman suffering from alcohol intoxication was transported to the Hospital Regional de Occidente by the Guatemalan Red Cross for stabilization.
