Quick Sigorta launches IPO on Borsa Istanbul
Turkey’s Quick Sigorta, a Maher Holding‑owned insurer, received approval from the Capital Markets Board to go public, becoming the first life‑and‑non‑life insurance company to list in 19 years and the seventh insurer on the exchange. The offering, led by Garanti BBVA Yatırım, will price shares at 76.60 TL each, issuing 48,312,950 shares and raising roughly 3.7 bn TL. The capital increase will lift the company’s paid‑in capital from 433.3 m TL to 481.6 m TL. Quick Sigorta reported an active size of 101.5 bn TL, equity of 25.1 bn TL, and a portfolio of 30 million policies, serving as the market leader in motor liability insurance (one in seven cars insured). The firm is slated to commence trading on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker “QUICK” on 6 August, following a listing ceremony. Chairman Ahmet Yaşar said the IPO marks a new era for Turkish insurance, emphasizing technology focus and a strong capital base.
