Quilmes celebrates 75th anniversary of La Paz neighborhood
The La Paz neighborhood in Quilmes celebrated its 75th anniversary with a civic and traditionalist parade held at the intersection of Eva Perón and Néstor Kirchner avenues. The event featured participation from local schools, institutions, murgas, volunteer firefighters, war veterans, and traditionalist centers.
Eva Mieri, the interim mayor of Quilmes, attended the festivities and highlighted municipal investments in the area, including 100 blocks of paving, new lighting, plaza renovations, and the construction of Quilmes TEC, a cultural and educational center.
While the morning parade proceeded following religious blessings, adverse weather conditions forced the suspension of afternoon activities, including entrepreneur fairs, gastronomic stands, and live musical performances. These events are subject to rescheduling.
