Quilmes Council members clash over public security

A heated debate regarding public security occurred at the Quilmes Deliberative Council following a ceremony honoring local community members. While the session began with the unanimous recognition of the San Francisco Solano Anniversary Celebration Commission, the atmosphere shifted when opposition legislators raised concerns about crime.

Radical councilwoman Daniela Ferreyra highlighted the lack of safe corridors in the Bernal area and the daily criminal situation faced by residents of San Francisco Solano. Additionally, Estefanía Albascetti of La Libertad Avanza criticized both municipal and provincial administrations for insufficient crime prevention. In response, ruling party officials defended current security policies and demanded a retraction from Albascetti regarding disparaging remarks made toward the honorees.
