Quilmes officials deliver multimodal free transit passes

Acting Mayor Eva Mieri and Buenos Aires Province Transport Minister Martín Marinucci led an operation in Quilmes to print and distribute 200 Multimodal Free Passes (PLM). The credentials provide free public transportation for people with disabilities, transplant recipients, and those on transplant waiting lists.

Local officials stated the initiative aims to bypass administrative hurdles caused by the national government's decision to restrict the provincial Ministry of Transport's access to the National Registry of Persons (RENAPER) databases. Mieri and Marinucci criticized the administration of Javier Milei, alleging that national policy adjustments fail to comply with the Disability Emergency Law and undermine the role of the state in guaranteeing social rights.

The operation, held at the Leonardo Favio Audiovisual Production Center in Bernal, was organized through coordination between the Municipality and the Provincial Ministry of Transport to ensure mobility and autonomy for vulnerable residents.
