Quilmes Municipality adds new side-loading truck and containers
The Municipality of Quilmes has added a ninth side-loading truck to its fleet as part of an ongoing waste management upgrade. The new vehicle, identified as internal 139, was acquired through a leasing system under the 2025-2027 Biennial Management Plan.
As part of this initiative, the municipality is implementing a containerization plan in Ezpeleta throughout September. This phase involves the installation of 35 new side-loading containers, intended to be placed approximately one per block to improve urban cleanliness and organization. The project aims to cover the commercial center of Ezpeleta and its surrounding areas.
According to municipal officials, this effort is part of a larger strategy to complete containerization for 100% of the city's commercial centers and reach a total of 700 containers by 2026. In the Ezpeleta sector, collection from these containers is scheduled to take place Monday through Saturday starting at 19:00.
