Quilmes Municipality announces new paving works in San Francisco Solano
The Quilmes Municipality has announced the construction of 15 new paved blocks in the El Sol neighborhood of San Francisco Solano. This project is part of the 2025/27 Biannual Plan, which aims to reach a total of 1,600 paved streets by 2027. To date, more than 1,300 streets have already been paved using entirely municipal funds.
Interim Mayor Eva Mieri stated that the initiative focuses on neglected western neighborhoods to improve local dignity and accessibility for services such as waste collection, ambulances, and police patrols. Mieri contrasted the local approach with the national administration of Javier Milei, noting that while the President has decided to end public works, the municipality views such projects as essential investments funded by local tax revenue.
