Quilmes Municipality begins new educational and cultural construction projects
The Municipality of Quilmes has launched two significant infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing education and culture in the region.
In San Francisco Solano, construction has begun on a new building for Municipal Kindergarten No. 2 ‘El Niño de Belén’. Funded entirely by municipal resources, the 755m² facility will replace a rented property. The new site will include four classrooms, a multipurpose hall, a library, a kitchen, and specialized accessibility features to better serve its 93 students.
Additionally, work is advancing on a new Cultural and Educational Space for Science in the La Paz neighborhood of Quilmes Oeste. This 460m² facility is part of the 2025-2027 Biannual Plan and is designed to provide children and youth with access to scientific experimentation and research. The project aims to integrate into the municipality's existing cultural infrastructure, providing a dedicated space for community learning and innovation.
